Speedway Slot Car Raceway
Race Rules effective September 1, 2024
- Car tech will be per the established car specifications.
- Tech will begin 15 minutes prior to race time.
- Tech Director will be assigned by the Race Director.
- If the Tech Director is racing, another participant will tech the Tech Directors car.
- Cars will be impounded after tech.
- The Tech Director will place cars on the assigned lane.
- Drivers will place lane stickers on the cars without moving them for the track.
- In case of 10 or less entries, lanes will be assigned randomly by the system with sit outs.
- The parts and repair area will be closed during the race.
- Each participant will be responsible for setting up and maintaining their pit area.
- Each lane will be run for two minutes.
- Two and one half minutes between lane changes.
- Lane positions must be marked by lane cards, stickers, sticker sheets or cooling fans.
- Lane positions will be marked behind the car before it is removed.
- Yellow flags will not be extended for any type of car repair.
- Drivers can not leave the panel unless to pull their car for repair.
- Drivers must make a track call to pull a poorly running car.
- Turn marshals can only straighten braids and unfolded bodies during yellow flags.
- Any car pulled for repairs can only be placed on the track by a turn marshal.
- Cars may not be removed from the track until the Race Director calls all clear.
- The car must finish with the original chassis and body.
- Any car winning by more than ten laps will be inspected post race.
- Rules may be altered by the Race Director for special races or circumstances
TRACK CALLS
- Track calls may be called by a turn marshal when more than two cars de-slot.
- Drivers may implement a track call when a de-slot occurs outside of a turn marshal covered area.
- Drivers may implement a track call when their car needs to be pulled for repair.
- Drivers may implement a track call when the track is not performing correctly.
- Panel calls will be made when a car de-slots in front of the drivers panel.
- Rider calls should be made by anyone observing a car in the wrong lane.

Crash & Burn Race rules effective September 1, 2024
- Car tech will be per the established car specifications.
- Tech will begin 15 minutes prior to race time.
- Tech Director will be assigned by the Race Director.
- If the Tech Director is racing, another participant will tech the Tech Directors car.
- Cars will be impounded after tech.
- The Tech Director will place cars on the assigned lane.
- In case of 10 or less entries, lanes will be assigned randomly by the system with sit outs.
- The parts and repair area will be closed during the race.
- Each participant will be responsible for setting up and maintaining their pit area.
- Each lane will be run for two minutes with thirty second breaks.
- Two and one half minutes between lane changes.
- Lane positions must be marked by lane cards, stickers, sticker sheets or cooling fans.
- Lane positions will be marked behind the car before it is removed.
- Thirty second breaks will not be extended for any type of car repair.
- Drivers can not leave the panel unless there is not a rotating turn marshal.
- Drivers must make a track call to pull a poorly running car.
- Turn marshals can only straighten braids and unfolded bodies during yellow flags.
- Any car pulled for repairs can only be placed on the track at the next thirty second break.
- Cars may not be removed from the track until the Race Director calls all clear.
- The car must finish with the original chassis and body.
- Any car winning by more than ten laps will be inspected post race.
- Rules may be altered by the Race Director for special races or circumstances
- Drivers pulling from the race will function as a rotating turn marshal.
TRACK CALLS
- “Track” calls must be made in a loud voice and timely.
- The Track Director will give warnings to a driver not making proper calls.
- A driver with two warnings will be docked 5 laps.
- Elimination on third warning.

General Race rules effective September 1, 2024
BLACK FLAGS
- The Race Director will black flag a car presenting danger to other cars.
- If the car is repaired, it can only be replaced on a yellow flag or the next lane change.
- Cars black flagged for a second time cannot return to the track.
SIT OUTS
- Sit out cars will be returned to the assigned area.
- Participants in a sit out must perform turn marshal duties.
- Sit out drivers may only work on their cars during the two and one half minute break.
- Any driver not participating as a turn marshal will be docked five laps per occurrence.
- Before the car is removed from the white lane the sticker will be place on the outside guard rail.
- The sticker must be removed from the guard rail after the car is placed on the red lane.
QUALIFYING
- At the Race Directors discretion, qualifying can be implemented.
- Qualifications will be timed for thirty seconds on the orange lane.
- Qualifying will be implemented for multiple heat racing.
TURN MARSHALLING
- Turn marshals will be standing at their posts under green light.
- Turn marshals positions may be assigned by the Race Director.
- Any exclusions from turn marshalling must be approved by the Race Director.
REPAIRS
- Any car pulled for repairs requires a Track Call.
- The turn marshal will pull the car and the race will resume.
- The car can reenter the race by the turn marshal placing the car on the track.
- Any driver reaching over the drivers panel to obtain a car will be penalized two laps.

Special Race rules effective September 1, 2024
INSPECTIONS
- The post race winning car by ten laps will be inspected by the Race Director.
- The driver will remove the body for inspection.
PROTESTS
- Any group of three drivers or the Race Director may call a protest.
- The body will be removed and all three protestors may view the chassis and motor.
- The Race Director can scope the motor and photo any parts.
- If nothing is noted, the protestors will be docked five laps from their finish.
- Any protestor or the Race Director may purchase a protested Hawk 25, Hawk 7 or C102 motor with the exchange of three new similar motors in the event no irregularities are found.
- Any irregularities found will trigger “Illegal Motor” sanctions.
EXPANDED TECH
- At any time the race director can call for a body off tech.
- Bodies will be replaced by the driver in front of the Tech Director.
- The car can not leave the tech area.
- The Tech Director may mark or sticker the body or chassis.
ILLEGAL MOTORS
Anyone knowingly operating an altered sealed motor will be subject to the following:
- Barred from racing for six months.
- Surrounding tracks will be notified of the breach.
- The breach will be covered on internet publications.
- Example of the breach will be shared with all drivers.
- Entry fee will be refunded and the motor will become the property of Speedway.
- Any trophy notifications associated with the driver will be removed.
- Feature Winner stickers will be returned to Speedway.
- The driver may no longer be eligible to participate in the Club Championship.
- When returning to racing, the car body will be removed for each tech.
